Late 19th Century Gold, Silver, Russian Demantoid Garnet and Diamond Brooch

Late 19th Century silver-topped 18 karat yellow gold brooch designed as a flowerhead set in the center with a cushion-shaped demantoid garnet weighing approximately 1.40 carats, the petals further set with 35 old mine demantoid garnets weighing approximately unknown carats, and 94 old mine diamonds weighing approximately unknown carats, measuring 1 3/8 by 1 1/2 by 5/8 inches, gross weight 16.2 grams, brooch fitting at the back detachable, with safetly chain and pin attached, and together with a fitted box which is unsigned and the interior reveals a hair pin attachement. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 82964 stating that the demantoid garnet is of Russian origin, Ural Mountains, Enhancement: none.
